He does that freezing thing when I'm close to him or touch him just like your zonk did in the video. I would love a Facebook page to follow his progress on. I never thought of tying before leading! Maybe I should try that with my donkey! He doesn't get the pressure/release thing at all. Looking forward to following your progress with him.Achieve1dreamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15401246064499148344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4728532494108633757.post-18943063297189518392015-12-28T10:13:10.162-08:002015-12-28T10:13:10.162-08:00I definitely do not have the skills to down a Zonk...I definitely do not have the skills to down a Zonkey, but I have really enjoyed following along on your journey. Down here you can have about anything you like on your property, so long as you are out in the country. Land is plentiful and animals are cheap down here.... You have no idea how many really nice animals come though the kill pen. Who knows what his story could be?<br />People drive them, ride them, play with them, and general just enjoy them as companions. So you can do things with them if you can train them.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15902291220984883182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4728532494108633757.post-28620624412366519062015-12-13T09:49:46.817-08:002015-12-13T09:49:46.817-08:00Not that I want one, but I still think he's ad...Not that I want one, but I still think he's adorable. So true on lack of domestication. Wild things think differently. I have a borzoi now after they all passed on and he's so freaking easy in comparison! Throw out the book on horses and trust your instincts AND his. Give him the treats he earns, making him work for it and don't expect him to ever follow another person's lead.
