I have many things to write about, but we are heading off for a short weekend vacation! We'll be back on Sunday, and I'll be able to catch up then. Stay tuned!
You know - my mom's Crabbet gelding LOVED driving. I also had a little Dartmoor I'd hitch up every now and then to pull around a cart like yours. My mom had a Meadowbrook for her gelding and my dad had a giant wagon for his Percheron team. We'd do exactly what you're doing - just hitch up and go for a ride around countryside.
That red mare is all bizness. She looks so happy with this job! Love when she turns to look back at you at the end! I'm beyond thrilled for you that you've found a sport you both enjoy. I honestly don't know anything about driving and it's been great to learn more about the sport while reading about your training process with O!
Listen to that even, calm trot rhythm! I think she has found her calling!
ReplyDeleteYou can just tell she is eating this up. So happy for you that she connects with it and finds it interesting and fun!
